Data Engineer

Are you a skilled and motivated Data Engineer ready to make a meaningful impact?

Our client is seeking a highly capable Data Engineer to join their team on a 2-year fixed-term contract. In this role, you will have the autonomy to build and optimise a state-of-the-art data platform within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem, driving their digital transformation and supporting key organisational functions such as Fundraising, Finance, and HR.

• Data Platform Development: Design, develop, and manage the data platform using Microsoft Fabric, ensuring it is scalable, secure, and reliable.
• Data Integration & ETL: Create and implement effective data integration solutions, develop ETL/ELT processes, and enhance data pipelines for optimal performance using Azure Data Factory and other Microsoft tools.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Collaborate closely with Senior Data Analysts, IT, and business teams to align data strategies with organisational objectives. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Data Quality & Governance: Develop a data quality framework, ensuring adherence to data protection regulations and organisational policies.

What you'll need to succeed

• Certification in Microsoft Azure Data Engineering, Microsoft Fabric, or equivalent.
• Demonstrable experience in a Data Engineering role, with strong knowledge of ETL tools and processes within the Microsoft ecosystem.
• Proven ability to design and implement data platforms, manage complex data integrations, and ensure data governance.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
