Up to £80k plus 10-15% Bonus
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Data Engineer to play a pivotal role in a key technology transformation working for a leading Bristol based business.
The role entails overseeing a team of data engineers, directing them in the design, development, implementation, and upkeep of the business's data analytics platform. This pivotal role will be instrumental in driving technology evolution, spearheading the migration and modernisation of analytics technology and data models.
Role:
- Drive the technology transition, modernising analytics technology and data models to support business growth.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance across the development lifecycle, fostering collaboration and delivering for the analytics community.
- Design scalable processes and data architectures aligned with business objectives, security, governance, and scalability.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to standards.
- Define coding standards, best practices, and development processes.
Skills/ Experience:
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Experience mentoring or leading teams.
- Deep understanding of data design principles and database technologies.
- AWS experience essential; Databricks experience highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Data Visualisation tools.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
