Data Security Compliance Officer GDPR

Morgan McKinley is looking for an experienced Data Security Compliance Officer to join a lovely company based in East Grinstead, West Sussex. The Data Security Compliance Officer who can be part of the data protection and data privacy team, supporting with keeping data protection, data security and payment security compliance activities in line.

Salary: £50-£60K + excellent company benefits

Location: Hybrid working - East Grinstead, West Sussex

Hours: 35 hour working week - 9-5 Mon-Fri

Data Security Compliance duties:

• Working with key stakeholders on a daily basis
• Conduct reviews of existing Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs)
• Assist with developing new assessments and making recommendations for improvements
• Review and manage Data Security Checklists, Legal Bases for Processing Checklists and Legitimate Interest Assessments
• Develop and maintain Data Protection Privacy Notices
• Collate data and prepare responses to data subject requests, such as subject access requests and erasure requests, as well as requests from other organisations etc
• Responsible for the continual improvement of all request fulfillment processes
• Design and implement a Data Security Compliance Champions, building further awareness and promoting all aspects of data privacy and security
• Assist with the data protection - data security policy communications
• Support the DPO in ensuring the importance of data security compliance
• Provide advice and guidance on data protection requirements

Skills and experience:

• Experience of working in a Data Security, Data Protection - GDPR type role
• Knowledge and understanding of UK data protection law
• Excellent IT and communication skills
