Datacentre Operations Analyst - Richmond

Up to £26,000 PA (plus shift allowance, circa £10k)

Shift work is a mandatory requirement for this role;

2 days 7am - 7pm / 2 nights 7pm - 7am / 4 days off

Our client, a leading IT service provider who have rapidly grown from organic growth and acquisitions, is seeking a Datacentre Operations Analyst to join their datacentre team. You'll be primarily responsible for managing whitespace, colocation and managed customer racks, data cabling, hardware installation, power management and completing tasks for the customers on the DC floor as and when required.

Responsibilities:

- Provide technical support for all customers based at the datacentre site

- Manage issues via various methods ticketing systems, online tools, databases etc.

- Undertake audits (site and rack), cabling, cross connects, decommissioning, tape rotation etc.

- Implement and undertake the maintaining of physical hosting infrastructure )racks, patch, frames/panels, data and power tray work, data cabling and cross connects)

- Communication with customers and colleagues to ensure safety and SLAs.

Requirements:

- Previous experience working within an IT support environment, ideally with basic knowledge of data centres (cabling, handling/storing data/rack installation etc.)

- Excellent communication skills

- Any certifications will be highly beneficial (MCSA, MCSE, CCENT, CCNA etc.)

£26,000 PA, and circa £10k shift allowance plus some excellent benefits and genuine career progression.
