Facilities Technician

£17 - £19 p/h

Our client is currently seeking a Facilities Technician to join their team on a temporary basis. As a Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for providing general maintenance support for the assigned buildings. Your main objective will be to ensure that the facility remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the facility to ensure safety and security.
  • Troubleshoot power, HVAC system and controls, and mechanical systems.
  • Carry out general and preventative maintenance, including carpentry and plumbing.
  • Manage vendor relationships.
  • Replace lighting system bulbs and ballasts as needed.
  • Assist with the movement of office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials.

Key Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to solve problems effectively.
  • Basic ability to work independently and manage your own time.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their repair and maintenance.

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in facilities maintenance and possess strong technical knowledge. A valid driver's licence is not required for this position. This is a full-time role with an hourly rate ranging from £17 to £19.50. The contract will end on October 31, 2024.
