We are seeking a Dealership Accountant to lead our Accounts Department with precision and expertise. This role is pivotal in ensuring our financial operations run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our business. Day to Day of the role:
  • Oversee the Accounts Department, ensuring all financial tasks are completed accurately and within deadlines.
  • Produce Management Accounts and forecasting data in compliance with company policies.
  • Provide expert guidance on financial and accounting issues to support business decisions.
  • Drive the department towards achieving exceptional standards of process efficiency.
  • Maintain strong relationships with departmental managers, offering professional assistance and advice on financial matters.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in leading and managing an Accounts Department.
  • Proven experience in the Automotive Industry is desirable
  • Strong ability to produce accurate Management Accounts and financial forecasts.
  • Excellent communication skills to guide and influence staff and peers.
  • Adept at cash flow reporting, budget analysis, credit control, and bank reconciliations.
  • Ability to work within set limits of authority regarding expenditure and resource use.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement in all processes and procedures.
