Debt Advisor/Collections, £28233, Brighton, hybrid working (6 days a month in the office minimum), for public sector organisation. Must have previous customer service/debt advisory/collections/credit control expertise and enjoy problem solving and offering solutions to clients.

The Debt Advisor role is a permanent position, offering flexible working and an inclusive environment. The main tasks:

  • Dealing with inbound and outbound calls in a Debt Recovery function, collecting unpaid levies or fines.
  • Assessing and processing cases for court recovery through the required channels.
  • Resolution of debtor queries received through various channels within SLA (Service Level Agreement).
  • Hardship requests and payment plans.
  • Reviews of cases and any associated write offs.
  • Payments, reconciliations, and banking processes.

You will have previous working knowledge of debt recovery/collections/accounts receivable/credit control and ideally experience of processing claims through the courts in UK.

Good knowledge of Excel, client focused, confident to deal with matters over the phone and professional writing skills to respond to emails.

The Debt Advisor/Collections, Brighton is a permanent role, working 9-5pm Monday-Friday (but offers flexible working, 25 days holidays plus Bank Holiday, £28233, genuine opportunities to progress your career, 17% pension contributions and free employee assistance programme. Parking on a first come first served basis.
