Michael Page Logistics are partnering with a specialist fleet hire business for the recruitment of a Depot Manager.

Client Details

Our client supply and service a fleet of premium vehicles across the UK&I. The role will be based from one of the business location in Petersfield.

Description

We are looking for an experienced Depot Manager with a fleet and engineering background. Your role will be integral in ensuring that vehicles are supplied and presented in excellent condition. You will providie Technical Advice to our workshop Managers, Service Providers and support the Quality Supervisor while ensuring compliance of the company's assets obligations under 'O' licencing law.

You will work as part of our overall Transport Team and be responsible for the Fleet Management which includes inspections, defects, and a full maintenance programme, ensuring it is scheduled and completed efficiently, effectively, and that the fleet remain compliant according to the road haulage laws and FORS at all times. It will be crucial that all planned maintenance adheres to a minimal down time to each vehicle.

Profile

The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Demonstrable experience of managing a vehicle fleet
  • Mechanical experience along with vehicle engineering and technologies
  • Hold Certificate of Professional competence in National Road Haulage Operations
  • Strong demonstrable organisation and planning skills
  • Full driving license
  • Positive attitude, pro-active, strong communication skills, ability to work under pressure.
  • Self-driven with strong Communication skills to support continuous improvement initiatives across the business
