Interaction Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Depot Manager to join a well established family run business in Princes Risborough. This is a full-time permanent role that would suit candidates who have worked as a Depot Manager / Branch Manager in the Hire industry. 

Our client have over 600 specialist machines in their fleet and service customers throughout UK. The successful candidate will work closely with the Workshop Manager and Sales Director to ensure smooth running of the business, 

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00

Annual Salary: £35k to £42k per annum

This role involves:

  • running the main depot with a hands on approach and remotley managing another depot.
  • ensuring any customer issues are dealt with quickly and successfully whilst liaising with relevant departments.
  • working closely with the Workshop Manager & Sales Director to make sure all orders are fulfilled.
  • stock control.
  • raising purchase orders for all machine parts, office stationary, consumables etc.
  • to be responsible for all daily check off sheets and making sure drivers have correct paperwork.
  • to keep in line with all FORS accreditation requirements.
  • making sure all vehicles are serviced and have up to date MOT.
  • ensuring all risk assessments and policies are in line with company health and saftey standards.
  • in charge of facilities - e.g. fire extinguishers, waste disposal, general maintenance and utilities.

To be considered for this role you must have / be:

  • previously worked in the hire industry as a Depot Manager or Branch Manager.
  • previous experience maintaining & updating risk assessments, records & policies.
  • the ability to work quickly and methodically.
  • willing to learn new skills.
  • able to work towards tight deadline and high pressures of the hire industry.
  • strong computer skills.
  • fluent English speaking, reading & writing.
  • confident telephone manner.
  • reliable.
  • a team player but also have the ability to work and map out solutions independently,
