We are delighted to be partnered with our highly established and very reputable client as they seek to recruit a Deputy General Manager (Catering Operations)to join their experienced and friendly team at their venue site close to Haywards Heath. This role is available due to continued expansion at the venue.
Deputy General Manager (Catering Operations)
Full time permanent role
40 hours per week (daytime shifts only) 5 days from 7
Role based close to Haywards Heath. Due to rural workplace location, you will need to be a driver and have your own transport. There is plenty of free parking on site for all staff.
Salary £32000 per annum, depending on experience plus excellent all round company benefits
The role / duties - Deputy General Manager (Catering Operations)
Manage day-to-day operations of the catering operations of this seven day a week business. Including staff rotas, ordering, planning the menu, cleaning, record keeping and general administration.
Ensure the Company’s reputation for food quality and service is enhanced with the client and customers.
Delivery of business strategies, with the support of the General manager and the Head Chef
Work closely with the General Manager and the Head Chef to ensure a seamless operation
Seek and maximise revenue opportunities and minimise costs
Consistently exceed customers expectations
Develop a motivated and high performing team
Manage Café employees performance in line with job descriptions, giving regular feedback and appraisals
To assist in the delivery of events on site when necessary
Create, deliver and measure promotional activities with support from the marketing team
Control costs without compromising standards and customer experience
To ensure all service periods are adequately staffed whilst maintaining labour budgets
Ensure customer requests and feedback, both verbal and written are responded to promptly and efficiently
All food production methods to adhere to food Safety Management System operated by the company
Ensure compliance with all legislation e.g. HACCP, Food Safety Act
To carry out company control procedures including:- stock takes, invoicing, payroll submission
To drive sales and help grow the bottom line
Key Competencies and experience required:
Leadership - ability to lead a team effectively
Good communicator - ability to communicate at all levels internally and externally
Innovative - seeks out and develops new opportunities and ideas
Team player - ability to motivate a team and support team members.
Experience within a similar role / venue in the hospitality / catering sector
