Deputy Manager

This is a full time, permanent position working 40 hours per week (including rota & administrative shifts), based in Reading. The offered salary for this position is £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience plus performance based bonus.

Your duties will include:

• Ensuring the seamless day-to-day operation of the Children’s Home.
• Ensuring adherence to the highest standards of care and regulatory compliance.
• Leading & supervising a team as well as managing performance.
• Preparing and participating in Ofsted inspections.
• Effectively managing budgets within the home.

You will have /be:

• Track record working with an Ofsted-regulated children’s home.
• Proven leadership/managerial experience.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• Exemplary communication skills across all levels.
• Organised with experience of budget management.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation & safeguarding procedures.
• Passionate about helping others alongside a strong commitment to promoting equality.
