R13 Recruitment are proud to be working alongside a brilliant, National Charity in their search for a Deputy Service Manager (Housing). You will be an instrumental in the effective management and distribution of referrals, and overseeing a team of Recover Workers, ensuring an efficient and compliant service delivery.

This is a full time, permanent position working Monday - Friday, based in the Norwich office. The offered salary for this position is up to £28,000 depending on experience. Please note you must be a driver and have access to your own transport for this role, as travel is required.

This National charity have been instrumental in providing a range of heavily relied on services for communities across the UK, with a focus on a psychologically informed and progressive approach to their services. With a growing number of service users across the organisation, this charity are continuing to extend their reach and provide essential services to those in need.

Your duties will include:

  • Overseeing the referral process, and distributing to a team of Recovery Workers, ensuring each referral is handled effectively and a person-cantered and psychologically informed service is delivered.
  • Handling the day-to-day leadership of the team, ensuring each team member is motivated and effectively providing support to service users through recovery and safety management plans.
  • Recruiting and onboarding new members of staff, ensuring full training is provided, and monitoring the performance of the team, conducting regular supervision meetings and providing support where needed.
  • Consistently seeking to improve the service and commitment to equality of opportunity and the empowerment of service users.
  • Ensuring health and safety and compliance at all times.

You will have /be:

  • Previous management experience and ability to foster a productive working environment where team members feel motivated and empowered to provide the best service to all service users.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels, with an empathetic approach and able to handle sensitive situations.
  • Understanding of mental health issues (knowledge or experience of working in a psychologically informed environment is preferred).
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, and ability to maintain an effective service in a busy environment.
