£40,000 - £55,000 - Dependant on Knowledge & Experience

Due to continued expansion across the business, our client, a market leading manufacturer is seeking to enhance its team with the appointment of a Design to lead this plant within their ever growing group.

Role Description

• Delivery of Sustaining Engineering and NPD projects specifically focusing on the Luminaire range.
• Creation and checking of CAD models and technical drawings
• Performing pertinent actions in SAP (Raising ECs, BOM creation etc)
• Owning all stages of allocated projects from conception through testing, verification and launch
• Development of products, taking into account all aspects of user experience, technical specification and production implications.
• Providing innovative solutions to engineering problems
• Work with Brand Management to develop project specification
• Actively involved in VOC of customers and markets
• Maintain reporting of project statuses and actively partake in meetings and discussions
• Take an active part in driving innovation and implementation of new technology in the products and the business

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Track record of delivering engineering projects in a high performance environment
• Min 5 years of experience in the design and development of lighting for industrial applications is strongly preferred but not essential
• Strong communicator who is capable of building relationships with key decision makers
• Performance driven, focused on delivering excellent results in a timely fashion and to budget
