Position: Design Engineer

Location: Coventry

Salary: £35,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prototype Development: Engage in the product development process from concept through prototyping, testing, and validation.
  • Engineering Drawings: Produce detailed engineering drawings, BOMs, and build procedures for production with precision and attention to detail.
  • Quality Documentation: Develop BOMs, data sheets, and other quality documentation to meet in-house requirements.
  • Issue Resolution: Analyze and resolve design issues efficiently.
  • Testing: Scope and run a range of tests both in-house and with external test houses, including fire tests, nozzle testing, seatbelt harness tensile tests, etc.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering design experience.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor CAD or similar software.
  • Experience with Progress Plus or similar software.
  • Desirable experience in CFD.
  • Beneficial engineering test experience.
