Design Manager - Masonry contractor

Wickford

£65,000 - £75,000

Information on the role

  • Manage the design process using contractual awareness and technical expertise.
  • Support understand and advise the client on the requirements and their obligations in the development of the design.
  • Act as a focal point for all design related issues on projects from pre-construction through to completion.
  • Ensure design information is of the right quality and on time.
  • Striving to eliminate health and safety risks during construction.
  • Ensure the design process recognises current legislation, standards and codes of practice where appropriate.
  • Liaise with design consultants, statutory bodies, subcontractors and client team.

What we’d like from you

  • Proven Design Management or Design Coordination experience
  • CAD Proficient
  • HND/Degree level in construction related subject preferred.
  • Main Contractor experience working within masonry
  • Detailed understanding of construction methods, Health, Safety and Environmental legislation
  • Ability to plan, organise and manage all aspects of the design.
  • Analytical problem solver
  • Ability to make reasoned and informed judgements and decisions.
  • Knowledge of current building regulations
