This is a solid mix of you coming into the role with hands-on experience (and something you want to keep) and managing a team of very talented studio professionals. It's a tough job, but if you leaving from the front and are a great people manager, this one COULD just be for you!

It's a unique position because the Design Manager's role you will be doing, will be yours to make it how you want but the previous one is still in the business. They've been promoted and in a position where they need to replace themselves. It's useful to you, because you'll have them as a sounding board and still there to help you settle in and support them in their new role.

Also, it's great because it shows you, that, even though you're coming in as a Manager, there's still room to progress.

So, we need you to walk into this role knowing Solid Works like it's the back of your hand. Along with Solid Works, you'll know your way around Adobe CC. Ideally, you can show us your first hand people management skills as you will inherit a team of 7.  Your experience doesn't have to be full on people management, you could be a Senior where you've managed other people in the team, it doesn't have to be the whole department.

The work in the place is cool. Proper manufacturing. Signage, Fabrication and Graphics. Your clients are some of the biggest names in Retail, Transport, Live Entertainment & the biggest construction projects across Europe. What you're designing and managing will be seen by millions of eyes worldwide.

Signage and Fabrication industry knowledge and experience isn't actually needed, it would though, help you hit the ground running so much quicker. So if you do have experience in Signage, Print, Fabrication and such like, you'll be right at home here.

You'll be responsible for the workflow, managing the projects, working with the Projects Director on the integration of new projects into the Studio, the turn around, the production and just generally having a handle on what's what in the Studio.

You'll have to be used to working at speed. This place doesn't sit still. There's multiple projects on the go at once, there's a solid pipeline of work and more and more tenders, recommendations and contract work in the pipeline. So whilst it's busy and you'll be managing various projects at once, you'll need to be a steady hand, composed and well organised.

The role is signed off, we are recruiting now. So if this is something that you think you'd want to have a chat about, give us a call and tell us about you. No CV needed to kick things off, so don't hang about, it won't be around for long this one.
