Desktop Surveyor

Our client, a family run contractor, is looking to recruit a home-based Desktop Surveyor within their insurance claim repairs division of the business. You will be working on a number of insurance company contracts, reviewing reports, information, and photos of damage to properties (provided by field-based teams) and will be preparing scopes of work for the reinstatement repairs following an insurance claim.

Although this is a home-based role, ideally you will be located within a commutable distance of the office so being based in the South West area, Bath, Bristol, Taunton, Yeovil or surrounding areas would be ideal.

As a Desktop Surveyor you will be:

• Reviewing surveys, reports, photos and videos to put together estimates/costs
• Preparing a scope of works
• Updating the company system and client portals throughout
• Dealing with variation orders and approving as necessary
• Liaising with policyholder, loss adjuster, insurance company throughout
• Close down jobs on client portals

What is required for this Desktop Surveyor /Estimator role:

• You will need to have surveying / scoping experience
• You will need to be a confident IT/PC user (ideally with experience using Blueprint, Xactimate, Symbility or other similar estimating software).

Package details

• Salary in region of £38k-£45k, depending on experience
