Despatch Operative

Location - Margate

Hourly Rate - £11.44

Hours - Monday to Friday 7.45 am to 4 pm

A global Manufacturing organisation in Margate is looking for a Despatch Operator to join their team.

Provided with expert training, you will be responsible for despatching and chasing production orders to ensure on-time delivery.

About the role

You will be supporting the despatch process using the company ERP system, as well as chasing orders throughout the site to ensure on-time delivery.

Duties for the role of Despatch Operative

• Select parts of various sizes for different customer orders
• Package parts of various sizes for diverse customer orders
• Input data into multiple platforms and operating systems
• Perform heavy lifting as needed due to the nature of the products
• Assist with inventory checks and counting
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations and work areas
• Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Warehouse & Logistics Manager.

Skills you will need for the role of the Despatch Operative

• Experience working within the manufacturing or despatch setting
• Strong and proven Mathematics skills are essential
• Experience using an ERP/MRP system is preferred but not essential
• Must own steel-toe-capped safety boots
• Strong IT and Administrative skills as well as the ability to communicate across all levels
