Development Planner - Solar/BESS - London - up to £70k

Piper Maddox have partnered up with a pan-European IPP who have ambitions of expanding out their UK based development team by adding a Development Planner to the team.

This company have a very healthy pipeline which you can get stuck straight into - this includes multiple large scale transmission schemes, and many more distribution connections across the whole GB. They also have 100MW of BESS currently in construction + 60MW of solar and 80MW of BESS nearing construction across 3 sites.

By way of connection dates they have a further 750MW of solar and storage connections to be connected by 2028 + 2029. One thing you won't be short of is plenty of work to get stuck right into!

They are extremely well funded, and have some of Europe's leading solar projects across their other locations. They are seeking to build out a team which isn't huge to allow for visibility across the business, detailed and quality work, and aids progression for anyone joining the business.

Key Responsibilities:
*Supporting the UK development team with all current and future planning processes.
*Working closely with the team on identifying suitable development opportunities around connection opportunities.
*Managing planning consultants and other contractors appointed by the company to assist in the planning process.
*Reviewing team-originated land opportunities from a planning viewpoint, in cooperation with the team and their input regarding aspects of long-term requirements around construction, operation and asset management.
*Managing key stakeholders through the planning process and into the site construction and operational phase.
*Attend industry and discipline events, webinars and shows

This role would allow you to take responsibility for a fantastic pipeline of projects, and would suit someone with understanding of the renewables market either from a consultancy or another developer.
