Development Underwriter

A newly created role for a Development Underwriter to join a leading insurance broker that is recognised for its best-in-class customer services and employee support, who offers hybrid working flexibility, exceptional training and opportunities to develop a rewarding career within the insurance industry.

About the Role:

• Covering Property and Liability insurance
• Provide exceptional service: Efficiently handle client and insurer requests, ensuring adherence to service standards and company procedures.

• Cultivate strong relationships: Proactively build rapport with clients and work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
• Drive business growth: Identify opportunities to exceed expectations, negotiate renewals with insurers to secure optimal outcomes, and contribute to high retention rates.
• Maintain industry expertise: Demonstrate a strong understanding of various insurance classes and regulatory requirements.

About You:

• The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Underwriting with a strong knowledge of Property and Liability insurance
• You will ideally be working towards your CII qualifications
• Acturis systems experience would be desirable however full training is provided
• You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• You will be a team player with a strong work ethic.
