DevOps Engineer
A company at the forefront of its industry is looking for an DevOps Engineer to join a team who are on a roadmap to embedding DevOps practices across a global estate. You will have the opportunity to progress your skills from on-prem focus, into Azure, and learn automation tools such as Terraform and Kubernetes. You will be part of the team who is re-architecting an entire product, and finding the best tools to do so. This role is perfect for someone who has extensive infrastructure engineering skills and wants to progress into a DevOps Engineering career.
You will have to start by working with tools such as Ansible and Docker. You will not need to already be an expert in this, but exposure would be handy. There will be migrations from vSphere into Azure, and you will learn alongside the experts within these projects. Working alongside the development, architecture, DevOps, and support teams you will need to be good at collaboration, proactive thinking and understanding the wider picture of the project impact.
Key skills required:
- Strong experience working on-prem using virtualisation technologies such as vSphere.
- Experience designing and implementing server and network infrastructure
- Experience deploying and managing virtual machines
- Troubleshoot and resolves technical issues related to infrastructure and applications
- Knowledge of IP networking, DNS, Load balancing and Reverse Proxies;
- Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy;
- Knowledgeable in Ansible or similar infrastructure configuration management tools
- Knowledge of Octopus Deploy
- Experience of developing and maintaining solutions using Azure (VMs, vNets, Key Vaults, IAM, Storage Accounts, NSGs, etc.)
