Greater London Authority, one of our largest public sector clients based in London are looking to recruit a Digital Communication and Engagement Officer to join their team on an initial 5-month contract (with possibilities of further extensions). The role is full time, Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week with hybrid work available. The office is based near London Bridge/Southwark station.

Job Purpose:

The role will be supporting the communications representatives within the culture and creative industries unit with the planning, production and delivery of e-newsletters and social media content.

Applicants must have experience in managing digital communications, newsletter and social media. The role will manage with Twitter/X account for the culture and creative industries unit. Putting together three different newsletter which will go out monthly; one is generic culture newsletter and other focuses on London Borough of Culture, and other newsletter focuses on Commission for Diversity in the Public. The candidate will have to come up with more of an advanced planning system whereby they are single handedly managing the Twitter account and taking information from all of the different representatives within the team.

Technical requirements/experience/qualifications:

  • Experience of stakeholder engagement, communications, press and marketing activities, particularly digital communications (e-newsletters and social media). 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience of creating and adapting copy and visual assets to tight briefs for a variety of audiences and platforms. 
  • Experience of managing stakeholder arrangements to achieve positive outcomes for the organisation 
  • Experience of or keen interest in working in a Culture/Creative Industries environment.
