Are you looking to kickstart your career with one of the largest independent bingo operators in Scotland?

This is an exciting opportunity for an apprentice to join Carlton Bingo as the newest member of their HR department in their Stirling office. Operating large bingo clubs in city centres as well as smaller clubs in towns around the country, Carlton Bingo have a great understanding of how important it is to work with the local community and pride themselves on a fun and diverse environment for both their staff and customers.

In this role, you'll swiftly acquire the essential skills and knowledge vital for success, all whilst embarking on a journey towards completing an SCQF Level 6 apprenticeship qualification!

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating the recruitment process for onboarding new staff, using MS Excel spreadsheets to track and organise applicants’ data
  • Uploading new job positions onto Indeed and other online advertising portals
  • Maintaining correspondence with applicants for roles via MS Outlook and telephone, writing letters on MS Word and issuing information via MailMerge
  • Coordinating Outlook diaries and scheduling meetings via Microsoft Teams
  • Creating digital newsletters for internal and external use via Microsoft Publisher
  • Collaborating with other team members via Sharepoint, allowing colleagues to access company information securely and effectively

Desirable skills:

  • Fun, outgoing personality – confidence is key!
  • Computer literate
  • Excellent organisational skills 
  • Confident and capable of using various inhouse software packages

Salary:

£20,000 per annum

Working hours:

Monday to Friday, 9am – 5.15pm

They talk you through the specifics on the qualifications you gain and how they align in particular to your day to day role.

On completion, as well as the valuable work experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognised qualification at SCQF Level 6.
