An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Digital PR Executive to join our PR team based in Colwick, Nottingham. The successful candidate will start as soon as possible. 

This is a hybrid role, with three days in the office and two days working from home.

Hillarys are part of the Hunter Douglas group of companies, so this role provides opportunities to work across multiple brands under the group. You will work closely with different teams across our Marketing function, including the SEO, Design, and Brand teams, so good relationship building skills are essential. 

Reporting to the Digital PR Manager, the right person will have at least one years’ experience in Digital PR while also having a strong knowledge of its role in SEO. 

As a Digital PR Executive, here is an idea of what you will be doing: 

  • Planning and implementing Digital PR Campaigns from concept to outreach.  
  • Keeping up to date with industry market trends to fuel campaign development. 
  • Maintaining and updating media lists and reports. 
  • Maximising link building activity across our brands. 
  • Identifying and developing effective working relationships with key media contacts for suitable niches/ sectors. 
  • Drafting editorial copy, including press releases, features and by-lines. 

Are you the ideal candidate? We’re looking for someone who… 

  • Has proven and demonstrable results launching creative campaigns and reactive PR to secure coverage and links. 
  • Is passionate about Digital PR, loves to learn, and stays up to date with the industry. 
  • Has strong time-management skills, adept at efficiently and proactively meeting deadlines with excellent attention to detail. 
  • Has experience in leading ideations.
  • Is proficient in the use of outreach and media database tools. 
  • Has experience in dealing with short-lead reactive opportunities through the likes of ResponseSource and/or #JournoRequest.
  • The ability to work independently and take initiative. 
  • Is an effective team player with a collaborative mindset. 
  • Is proactive in voicing ideas and suggesting improvements when necessary. 
  • Is susceptible to change when circumstances dictate. 
  • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills  
  • Is open-minded, creative and proficient in idea generation. 
  • Ideally, has 1-2 years' experience in Digital PR (agency or in-house) 
  • Has experience working in Home Interiors desirable but not essential.
