Our client is a market leading Publishing and Communications specialist with a Global reach and an influential location in Edinburgh.

Due to growth and expansion, they seek a Digital Print Operator to join their team to provide publishing solutions and marketing communications to their clients in Scotland.

This Digital Print Operator role offers career growth and internal opportunities as this role has been born out of an internal promotion.

What you will be doing:
  • Produce digital printed documents in various formats (brochures, posters etc)
  • Ensuring quality work including colour, text, and graphics is maintained throughout
  • Ensure that jobs are completed in a timely manner to meet the despatch deadline
  • Carry out Print finishing tasks – cutting, wire binding (etc)
  • Packing and dispatching finished goods according to specified requirements
What you need to have: 
  • Previous experience on a digital printing machine, technologies and processes are desirable, but experience and knowledge of commercial printing is essential.
  • Various Finishing Skills are desirable, but not essential (guillotine, folding, creasing, wire binding etc)
  • Able to work effectively in a high-pressured environment
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure SLAs are met
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, but also be self-motivated
  • Good PC skills are essential, while an understanding of artwork and files would be an advantage
