Direct Tax Manager

Seeking an International Tax manager with an international tax background and with experience in the Polish direct tax field to join the EU direct tax advisory team for a listed client in the consumer sector.

Primary responsibilities will include:
* Advising, coordinating and problem-solving across a multi-functional team, including business, legal, accounting, finance.
* Supporting international and local tax controversy teams on tax audits in Poland.
* Researching and documenting direct tax issues, including coordination with external advisors and support presentation of tax impacts.
* Reviewing new business initiatives and scoping any effect on existing processes and systems.
* Investigating and responding to internal and external information requests.

Qualifications expected from the candidate:
* At least 8/10 years advisory experience in a large accounting/consultancy practice, law firm, tax authority or business in-house.
* Proficiency in English and possibly in Polish.
* Bachelor's degree in tax, accounting, finance, or related field.
* Experienced in Polish tax legislation
* Excellent written and oral communication skills

This is a 9-month contract with hybrid working available (2 days in office).
