Our client is a Global Investment Bank who are looking to add to their Paris trading capabilities. They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Inflation Trader to join their dynamic trading team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of inflation-linked products, strong quantitative skills, and a proven track record in trading. This role involves developing and executing trading strategies to capitalise on inflation trends, managing risk, and optimizing portfolios to maximize returns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement trading strategies focused on Euro inflation-linked securities, including TIPS, inflation swaps, and related derivatives.
  • Monitor and analyze inflation trends, economic indicators, and market conditions to identify trading opportunities.
  • Conduct in-depth research and quantitative analysis to support trading decisions.
  • Manage and optimize portfolios, ensuring alignment with risk management guidelines and investment objectives.
  • Collaborate with other traders, research analysts, and risk management teams to enhance trading strategies and improve performance.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes, market developments, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD) preferred.
  • 6- 12 years of experience in trading, with a focus on inflation-linked products.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in trading platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of inflation-linked securities, derivatives, and macroeconomic factors.
  • Proven track record of successful market making.
  • CFA or relevant professional certifications are a plus.
