Responsible for setting and implementing the ESG strategy globally.

including design and focus of strategic priorities, employee engagement, external and internal communication, origination and commercial strategy with customer engagement, charitable strategy and impact, operational implementation including energy efficiency measures, supplier engagement and code of conduct.

Strong focus on climate, including assisting the design of unique commercial lending risk and credit intelligence modelling, scenario analysis, scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG emissions calculations, setting an ambitious 2035 net zero target and transition plan, innovation with borrowers on decarbonizing the built environment and transitioning financed emissions.

Numerous conference, webinar, panelist and online speaking slots and presentations, particularly on themes of helping SMEs decarbonize and assessing and managing climate risk for commercial lending. External policy lobbying and regular participation with industry groups including Bankers for Net Zero, Net Zero Banking Alliance, Tech Zero, Coadec and Innovate Finance, contributing to roundtables and responses to government consultations on green finance, SME transition, built environment decarbonization and the role of FinTech.
