Director of Nursing

Service Care Solutions are working in partnership with our established client to recruit an experienced Director of Nursing in the County Tipperary area. The successful candidate will play a vital role in leading the Nursing Team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to residents. The role requires strong leadership abilities and a commitment to excellence in nursing practice.

The service is a specialist Nursing Home supporting Older Adults with a range of complex conditions including Dementia. The home has a maximum occupancy of 81-beds and provides long-term residential care and on-going medical monitoring and physical treatment to residents.

Job Purpose: Director of Nursing

Salary: €70,000-€80,000 per annum + £250 SCS Sign-Up Bonus

Location: Clonmel, County Tipperary

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:30

Contract: Full-time | 40 Hours

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing leadership and clinical supervision to staff to enhance standards and morale.
• Creating and maintaining a residential environment where residents feel supported and valued.
• Ensuring adequate staffing levels for high-quality care delivery and smooth operations.
• Serving as a resource to nursing staff in planning and implementing care.
• Providing leadership and clinical supervision to all staff is essential for enhancing standards and fostering a positive team morale.
• Establishing and upholding high standards of professional practice and ensuring the nursing home environment meets the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of residents.
• Promoting, encouraging, and practicing person-centred care which is essential for ensuring the well-being of residents.
• Flexibility is required, as availability to work night and weekend shifts may be necessary.

Essential

• Registered with the An Bord Altranais with an Active PIN
• Post-Registration Qualification in Healthcare Management
• Previous experience supporting Older Adults with Dementia or Gerontology - 3 Years
• Previous Healthcare Management experience - 3 Years
• Valid Irish Drivers License
