Based in Germany our well-known client is looking for a Director of Revenue Management Europe to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a hybrid working setup, you'll have the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in Germany with some travel to the team in Berlin along with occasional trips to hotels.

This job would suit someone with a minimum of six years in revenue management and at least 3 years of cluster/regional director-level experience in Central Europe / Germany markets. They will serve as the Europe region's leader in revenue management, creating strategies to maximise the region's room revenue and grow the RevPAR Index for each hotel in the portfolio.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative by foreseeing, mitigating, and resolving challenges, thereby contributing effectively to the team's success. This person must demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, skilled at fostering trust and confidence among stakeholders of varying levels, including C-suite executives, while excelling in effective communication with key clients to address concerns and clarify issues. You will be highly proficient with OPERA Hotel PMS, RMS Systems (IDeaS preferred), MS-Office and BI Tools. Fluency in English and German is essential.

Job responsibilities:

  • Oversight of rate plans available to all hotels in the region in collaboration with EMEA Revenue Management on strategic design and implementation of new rate plans to address market requirements of hotels.
  • Acts as supervisor and mentor to RM Analyst(s) and Manager(s)
  • Develop close relationships with key partners providing revenue management support including rate plan consultations, systems setup, and strategies to optimize revenue performance.
  • Training for Operations and Hotel teams on Rate Plans available to hotels including best practices and revenue management strategies.
  • Selection and oversite of 3rd party Revenue Management Service Providers delivering tools & reporting systems to hotels
  • Close collaboration with sub-regional Operation and Commercial leaders to align on strategies to drive company contribution.
  • Problems are sometimes complex and involve a mix of solutions ranging from a set of pre-designed options to bespoke developments.
  • Work requires active involvement in projects that result in new ideas or methods. Improved methods generally affect the hotel's bottom line performance and immediate department.
  • Serves as a project team member working to achieve defined goals.
