Salary: £39,500 + Generous Bonus Scheme
Location: Exeter EX2 – Hyrbrid Working (50% Site Working & 50% Homebased).
Hours: Permanent – Full Time (08:30am – 17:00pm) – with the option of part time hours after training.
Start Date: September 2024

About the Role:

Join us as a Clinical Disability Assessor / Functional Assessor and make a significant impact on the lives of WCA claimants. Use your clinical skills in a non-traditional setting to help individuals receive essential support and improve their quality of life. The Work Capability Assessment (WCA) in the UK determines eligibility for benefits due to illness or disability, primarily for Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) and Universal Credit. It evaluates how an individual's condition affects their ability to work.

Qualifications Sought:
  • Required: 1 year of clinical experience and 1 year of NMC/HCPC registration.
  • Eligible Occupations: Adult General Registered Nurses, Adult Occupational Therapists, Adult Physiotherapist.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct face-to-face assessments with claimants to evaluate their eligibility for benefits.
  • Review and analyse medical evidence and health questionnaires.
  • Compile detailed; accurate reports based on assessment findings.
  • Determine the impact of claimants' conditions on their ability to work.
  • Communicate effectively with claimants, ensuring they understand the assessment process.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and guidelines.
  • Ensure all assessments are conducted in a professional and empathetic manner.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Strong typing skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Varity of clinical knowledge and experience.
  • Full HCPC/NMC registration with at least 1 year of post-qualification clinical experience
