Our client, a reputable and expert energy company, are looking for a District Heating Engineer. As a District Heating Engineer, your main job is to ensure that heat networks run smoothly and efficiently. This involves fixing problems, making sure systems are working well, and following industry standards.

The District Heating Engineer will be involved in projects like:

  • Developing new district energy systems (large-scale heating and cooling systems for multiple buildings).
  • Exploring new opportunities for district energy solutions.
  • Implementing innovative heating and cooling technologies.


Key Responsibilities of the District Heating Engineer:

  • Make sure the company follows best practices for operating heat networks.
  • Review and improve the performance of heat networks, focusing on efficiency and environmental impact.
  • Follow industry standards and guidelines.
  • Investigate energy use and help calculate energy costs for customers.
  • Work with developers and clients to discuss and plan improvements for heat networks.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations related to heat networks.
  • Oversee testing and acceptance of new heat networks.


What you can offer to the District Heating Engineer role:

  • Have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in managing installer-to-maintainer handovers.
  • Meng/BEng in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred)
  • Be able to address Legacy issues.
  • Have a UK Driving license.
