A leading US firm based in the heart of the city seeks a new Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Assistant on an initial 12 month FTC.  This newly created role will assist the DEI Manager in implementing the firm’s DEI strategy and goals for the London office.

  • Up to £35,000
  • Hybrid Working (3 days in the office / 2 days remotely)

Responsibilities for the Diversity, Equality & Inclusion Assistant include:

  • Providing administrative and program support related to internal and external DEI initiatives for the London and some of the overseas offices
  • Organise and attend office committee, working group and DEI council meetings as necessary and prepare agendas and summaries for circulation at the direction of the DEI Manager
  • Administer the various logistics for internal workshops/training, program events and meetings, including but not limited to, drafting invitations, office communications, room bookings, catering, audio-visual reservations, marketing, and promotion of offerings such as trainings, workshops and special events
  • Assisting with diversity data collection exercises for internal monitoring and reporting purposes
  • Assisting the DEI Manager with data collection for external benchmarks, accreditations, award submissions and indices such as, the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index, the Social Mobility Foundation index and the Disability Confident Employer scheme
  • Learn and become familiar with the US & London data analytics tools. Be able to read and pull data and benchmarking information as required
  • Assist with research for projects and programming, including staying abreast of activity and trends within the legal market relating to DEI and reporting back to the DEI Manager
  • Prepare and draft content for the London DEI newsletter

Key Requirements for the Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Assistant include:

  • A minimum of 1 year administration experience, preferably within a law firm
  • Genuine interest in DEI and creating an inclusive culture
  • Strong written, communication and organisational skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
