We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Document Control Support professional to join our Capital Delivery team. This role is crucial in ensuring the accurate administration of contractual, engineering, safety, and environmental documents. You will be the key interface between the project team, Main Works Contractor, and customers, ensuring all documentation is managed in compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Manager and Team, ensuring all objectives and requirements are met.
  • Documentation Management: Set up and maintain a Project Documentation system accessible from all relevant project offices and site locations.
  • Compliance and Quality: Ensure documents are correctly administered, filed, and indexed, supporting technical audits and project data book closure.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including Network Strategy, Operations, Supply Chain, Customers, Design Consultants, and Main Works Contractors.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by adhering to standard operating procedures and suggesting enhancements.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent. A-Level qualifications or equivalent post-secondary education is desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Knowledge of document control systems like Aconex or ISO 9001:2015 standards is desirable.
  • Experience: Proven experience in document management or administrative support in a construction or engineering environment. Skilled in using document management systems (e.g., SharePoint, Aconex).
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and balance conflicting deadlines. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Communication: Demonstrated ability to liaise with stakeholders, contractors, and team members to ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and accessible.
