Bennett and Game are currently working with a leading consultancy based in Leeds. This opportunity requires an ambitious candidate seeking to explore a new challenge within their career. Our client has offices around the UK and has opened a new office in Leeds due to expansion and growth with their turnover last year being 10 million and expectations of that growing by 20% this year.

The most suitable Document Controller will gain experience with all aspects of the business which will include document control, with ProjectWise, plus project admin, job tracking, programmes, invoice monitoring. This is excellent opportunity to join a growing office and company as whole.

Document Controller Position Overview
  • Manage control of documents and incoming correspondence.
  • Create and maintain document registers and job trackers.
  • Request and manage document numbers.
  • Identify and rectify discrepancies in document titles, reference numbers, and revisions.
  • Format documents using client templates.
  • Distribute comments and correspondence to and from the client.
  • Liaise and coordinate with internal staff and external clients.
  • Receive, upload, and issue documents and drawings in line with project timescales.
  • Create new job files.
  • Prepare monthly payment applications.

Requirements for Document Controller Position:

  • Essential experience in a similar role, ideally within the engineering or construction industry.
  • Experience with Common Data Environment (CDE) systems such as Business Collaborator, ProjectWise, or similar.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize workload effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in IT, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across a remote team.
