Document Controller

Based in Huddersfield

£175 - 225 per day

12-month contract (possibility of contract extension or a permanent position)

My client is a Tier 1 contractor based across the U.K with this requirement being based in Huddersfield, they are requiring a multiple Document Controllers to support with the increase in workload on the project in early stages. This is a great opportunity to work on one of the largest Tier 1 contractors in the country, whilst working here you will be able to develop yourself and there will be the possibility to progress into other positions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process project documents (Download & Distribute) via common data environment (CDE) such as ASITE, SharePoint and BIM (Clearbox).
  • Document and records management through EDMS.
  • Managing SharePoint folders/records as per company compliance
  • Update and issue document registers adhering to Quality Assurance
  • Aid design team with design acceptance process.
  • Assisting subcontractors/suppliers with document management
  • Communicating with designers/client for QA, design acceptance and TQs
  • Assisting site team for document access and records in timely manner

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous worked in Document Controller positions.
  • Good document management skills.
  • Familiar with using electronic document management systems e.g. Viewpoint.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Beneficial if worked in the rail and/or heavy civils sector.
