The role:  Dog Groomer

• Able to demonstrate expertise and knowledge in all aspects of grooming, with the ability to groom all dogs to breed standard without supervision.
• Responsible for delivering the best service, exceeding expectations in animal welfare standards whilst adhering to health and safety policies.
• Maintaining high cleanliness standards within the salon and ensuring compliance with the Animal Welfare Act and relevant Health & Safety legislation.
• Ensuring that our customers and their pets enjoy a positive, memorable and rewarding spa experience, exceeding their expectation by bringing a ‘Pet Perfect Service’ to life.

Able to manage bookings and payments using company systems (training provided).

The Skills:

• We are seeking an individual with a fun personality, who is great at interacting with pets and people
• You’ll have a customer focused approach and share our values of being: Genuine, Wise, Focused, Eager, Together.

• Industry qualification – Level 2 or at least substantial dog grooming experience.
• Knowledgeable on all aspects of a groom, from preparation to health & welfare checks, bathing routines, safe drying techniques, nail clipping, and styling different breeds to their breed standard.
• A proactive attitude with the ability to groom approximately 6 dogs per day.
• Confidence in handling all breeds of dogs in a safe manner with a calm and reassuring approach to dogs displaying nervous or challenging behaviours.
• Excellent communication skills for dealing with customers and their pets daily.
• Having the highest of standards in presentation and cleanliness.
• Flexible to cover any shifts over 7 days.
• Part time, permanent position - 20 hours per week.

Please note: This is not a training role, we are looking for a fully experienced Dog Groomer who can work within a busy team and on their own as required.
