Role OverviewWe are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Drama Teacher to join our team on a full-time, long-term basis starting in September 2024. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality drama lessons to students of all abilities, fostering a love for the performing arts.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver stimulating and effective drama lessons
- Develop and implement schemes of work in line with the curriculum
- Encourage students' participation in drama activities and productions
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students
- Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular activities and school events
- Maintain a safe and respectful classroom environment that supports learning
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Degree in Drama or a related field
- Proven experience teaching drama at the secondary school level
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for the performing arts and a commitment to student development
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
