Are you looking for a varied driving role? Our Hook based client are seeking a Delivery and Collection Driver to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting hazardous waste and delivering fresh bags and boxes to customers in a timely and efficient manner. The successful candidate will have a valid driver's license, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to read maps and follow directions. Additionally, the Delivery Driver must be physically able as the job is active and some collections can be heavy and the routes can sometimes be challenging with regards to identifying parking or driving in busy areas.

The other aspect of the job involves management of a small site in Hook, Hampshire. It is a small yard so it will involve a level of facilities management, some stock control and taking responsibility of any vehicles situated there.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety regulations while driving.
  • Deliver and collect from customers in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with customers and provide updates on delivery status.
  • Load and unload items from vehicles.
  • Keep records of deliveries and pick-ups via use of consignment notes
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.

Very physical role collecting clinical waste which is bagged. Full training will be given. Driving locally to Basingstoke and from outskirts of London to Southampton and Portsmouth. This is a very physical role and can be demanding, approximately 20-25 collections per day.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 7am-3/4pm or 8am-5/6pm - average 8.5-9 hours per day. Driving a 7.5T Luton Tail lift
