Salary: £150- £238.59 dependent on experience. Scale rate available after a qualifying period of 12 weeks or sooner.

Career Teachers are seeking a qualified Teacher (QTS / QTLS) with experience of teaching DT at KS3 and 4, for a secondary school based in Birmingham. This is a full time, temporary role to start September 2024. This position is suitable for an experienced or ECT DT Teacher.

You will be working in a progressive and inclusive secondary school who are dedicated to academic excellence and the personal growth of their students. They pride themselves on fostering creativity, problem-solving, and practical skills among their students. Our school are seeking a passionate DT Teacher to join their staff team and inspire the next generation of designers, engineers, and technologists.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Design Technology or related field
• Teaching certificate and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
• Right to work in the UK.
• Experience teaching DT at KS3-4
• A passion for teaching and a commitment to student achievement
• Hold an enhanced child workforce DBS check on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
• Have up-to-date safeguarding training; Career Teachers offer FREE online Safeguarding training
• Provide a full 10-year career history and references to cover the last 2 years including current and previous employers.
