Accelerate Teaching is excited to announce an opening for a dedicated and skilled DT Technician at a distinguished secondary school in Bradford, starting in September 2024. This is an exceptional opportunity for a passionate individual to contribute to a thriving educational environment where innovation and hands-on learning are at the core of the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and assistance in the Design and Technology (DT) department.
  • Maintain and manage DT equipment and resources, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
  • Assist in the preparation and organisation of practical lessons, including setting up machinery and tools.
  • Offer guidance to students on the safe and effective use of DT equipment.
  • Support the teaching staff in delivering engaging and high-quality DT lessons.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the DT workshops.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in a DT Technician role or a similar technical support position is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of DT equipment, tools, and materials.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with both staff and students.
  • A commitment to promoting a positive and productive learning environment.
