Role Type: Temp 3 months
Hours: Part time – flexible hours on offer and WFH Opportunities
Salary: £14.68 PAYE - £16.22 Umbrella
Location: Swindon
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of survivors of domestic abuse? Our client is looking for a new dedicated team member to work as a DV Support Worker and play a pivotal role in providing safe accommodation and support services to empower survivors towards a brighter future. This is a contract role within a supportive and empowering organizational context led by a Head of Service and a team of specialist workers. Your work will be crucial in fostering inclusive and trauma-informed environments to support survivors of domestic abuse.
- Manage a caseload of customers through their journey with the domestic abuse dispersed service properties, ensuring a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach.
- Manage your own diary, with the flexibility to WFH and hybrid work with this.
- Deliver quality, outcome-focused support in both one-to-one and group sessions, providing emotional and practical support.
- Identify and signpost customers to available services from partner agencies, supporting them to access these services and staying safe.
- Proven experience of working with people who have multiple complex needs and/or those who have experienced domestic abuse.
- Experience in completing risk assessments and carrying out robust safety planning.
- An understanding of the practical, emotional, economic, and social issues of those experiencing Domestic Abuse.
- Proven experience of complex caseload management, with a clear focus on outcomes for customers and their wider community.
- An understanding of the effects of domestic abuse related trauma, appropriate responses, and professional boundaries.
- Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
- Domestic Violence and Abuse Support Worker qualification.
- Any relevant professional certifications in mental health support or housing support.
