Overview:

Our consultancy partners with tier 1 investment banks, providing top-tier IT and data solutions. We are currently seeking talented Data Engineers to join a dynamic IT Operations team within one of our prestigious clients. This team is focused on developing a cutting-edge data warehouse for post-trade activity analysis, supporting the Global Business Insights (GBI) team with crucial metrics and reports. The role is pivotal in a major data integration project that spans global operations, contributing to strategic efficiency programs and control agendas.

We are looking for talented Data Engineers to join our client’s team in Sheffield. We have openings for Data Warehouse Engineers/DBAs, Ingest Data Engineers, and Transformation Data Engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain ETL pipelines

  • Design and implement data models (Relational + Dimensional)

  • Write advanced SQL queries

  • Utilize CI/CD tools for efficient workflow

  • Work with cloud platforms, ideally GCP

  • Support diverse data visualization needs across the organization

Essential Skills:

  • Data Modelling (Relational + Dimensional)

  • Advanced SQL (DDL and DML)

  • ETL Pipelines

  • Proficiency in Python or Java

  • Basic SQL knowledge

  • CI/CD Tools

Preferred Skills:

  • Data Vault models

  • G-SQL

  • Jenkins + GitHub

  • Data Fusion

  • Qlik Dev

  • QlikSense (including VizLib and Web Mashups)
