Zachary Daniels Recruitment are exclusively partnered with a multi-channel fashion retailer on the appointment of an E-commerce Director, based in London. This is a big role with huge scope to optimise and grow the e-commerce channels. through leading on the digital commerce strategy.

This role requires a dynamic and hands on operator, someone who is happy to much in and get into the detail, leading with your sleeves rolled up. This is a pivotal hire in driving the online sales growth, enhancing the customer experience and integrating the omnichannel initiatives.

Key responsibilities in the position of E-commerce Director includes:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive eCommerce strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Lead the eCommerce team in optimizing online sales performance, user experience, and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the eCommerce platforms, ensuring seamless integration with physical stores.
  • Analyse market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, merchandising, IT, and customer service, to drive cohesive and effective eCommerce initiatives.
  • Manage budgets, set performance targets, and report on key eCommerce metrics and KPIs.
  • Ensure the eCommerce platform is fully optimised for mobile, SEO, and conversion rate improvements.
  • Lead the development and implementation of new digital tools and technologies to enhance the customer journey.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence within the eCommerce team.

To be considered for the position of E-commerce Director:

  • Minimum of 10 years in eCommerce management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the fashion retail industry.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing eCommerce strategies that drive significant revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media, and online merchandising.
  • Experience with eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud) and related technologies.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
