Job Title: Early Career Teacher (ECT)

Location: Stockport

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: £130 - £155 per day

Job Description:

As an Early Career Teacher (ECT), you will embark on your teaching career with the support of our experienced staff and a comprehensive induction program. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and contributing to the overall development of the school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Assess and monitor students' progress, providing constructive feedback and setting targets for improvement.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes a love for learning and respects each child's individuality.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in a positive and consistent manner, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers to support students' learning and development.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events.
  • Engage in the school's ECT induction program and utilise the support provided to develop your teaching practice.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending QTS.
  • Experience: Recent graduate or in the final stages of teacher training.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organisational abilities, and effective classroom management techniques.
  • Attributes: Passionate about education, eager to learn, adaptable, and committed to continuous professional development.
  • Compliance: Enhanced DBS check and the right to work in the UK.
