Are you an experienced Early Years educator with knowledge and experience supporting children with special educational needs?

A primary school located in the heart of Muswell Hill is seeking a creative Early Years specialist to support students in their Nursery and Reception classes with special educational needs. Through out the day you will be expected to offer both academic and emotional support to individuals, the schools SLT are very supportive, and the school is a welcoming and vibrant place to work.

Working days: Monday to Friday

Working hours: 8:30am until 4pm

What the role will involve:

  • Supporting students in Early Years (Nursery and Reception) with needs such as Autism, SEMH, ADHD, Down's Syndrome and MLD
  • Working closely with the class teacher and schools SENDco to ensure the best support is provided
  • Completing observations and updating individuals' learning journals
  • Liaising with external agencies such as occupational therapists and speech and language therapists

What you need to apply for the EYFS SEND Support position:

  • Sound knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
  • Experience working with Special Educational Needs
  • CACHE qualification in childcare, NNEB or an equivalent qualification
  • An up-to-date DBS, ideally registered with the update service or happy to apply for a DBS (will be refunded after working 20days for TimePlan)
