Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team plays a crucial role in creating a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
The Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant (TA) to join the existing EYFS team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support the learning and development of children aged 3-5 years. This role is perfect for someone who is enthusiastic about early childhood education and eager to make a positive impact in a child's formative years.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities.
- Support children's learning through play and structured activities.
- Help to create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and classroom displays.
- Support the personal, social, and emotional development of the children.
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.
- Ensure the health and safety of the children at all times.
- Collaborate with parents and carers to support the children's learning and development.
Requirements
- Level 2 or 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with young children, preferably in an educational setting.
- A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to their development and wellbeing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of the EYFS framework.
- A patient, caring, and positive attitude.
Desirable
- Paediatric First Aid certification.
- Experience with children with special educational needs (SEN).
- Additional qualifications or training relevant to early childhood education.
