We are looking for an Ecologist with good Bio net gain knowledge to join a fun and friendly team in Derby! They are a well established, multi-disciplinary company who work on a range of projects in sectors including residential, commercial, education and green infrastructure. The company offer paid CIEEM memberships, a generous holiday allowance, charity social events throughout the year, paid overtime or TOIL and paid CIEEM memberships.
You will be working alongisde a team of ecologists, landscape architects and arboriculturalists, undertaking habitat and protected species surveys, assisting with data input and analysis, research and report writing. You will be supported by a strong team of Ecologists, enabling you to gain valuable training and obtain protected species licences.
What You'll Do:
- Conduct ecological surveys and assessments.
- Analyse data and prepare reports for environmental impact assessments.
- Develop and implement strategies for habitat restoration and conservation.
- Writing BNG reports.
- Provide expert advice on biodiversity conservation and environmental management.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Strong fieldwork skills and experience with ecological survey techniques.
- Proficiency in data analysis and report writing.
- Strong understanding of Bio net gain.
- Knowledge of environmental legislation and regulations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
