On behalf of my client, I am looking for an Editor & Lead Writer for a Norwich based company who have a new digital publication. This role is ideal for a writer or journalist with a strong background in mathematics, statistics, and financial data collection, who is passionate about developing content on the impact of interest rates on the economy.

Job Type:  Full time or part time available. Full time hours are 35 hrs per week Monday-Friday

Location: The role could operate on a remote/hybrid working basis, but attendance at editorial meetings in Norwich is an essential part of the role.

Salary: Excellent – commensurate with experience

Day to Day of the Role:

Produce specialist written content, focusing on inflation and rate setting.

Collaborate with Data and Design teams to incorporate charts and graphics that enhance the written content.

Stay updated on economic news and events to propose relevant stories and ideas for the publication.

Attend regular editorial meetings at our Norwich offices to align with the publication’s vision and strategy.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.

Proven experience as a writer or journalist in financial services.

Proficiency in working with financial data and data collection.

A keen interest in current affairs, especially economics.

Ability to analyse historical data and identify trends.

In-depth knowledge of the Bank of England’s role in UK monetary policy.

Experience with organisations such as the ONS, Bank of England, Reuters, or the Financial Times is advantageous.
