Service Care Legal are working with a Local Authority, based in the Berkshire, which is in need of a Lawyer to join their Adult Social Care and Education team. This role will predominantly handle SEN Appeals, general education advice and judicial reviews.

ROLE: Education Lawyer (SEN)

LOCATION: Berkshire, office attendance once a week

RATE: £45-£50ph

CONTRACT: 3 months, 37 hours a week

The Role:

  • To manage a full caseload from inception to completion related to Education Law matters
  • Cases will include SEN appeals, general education advice and judicial reviews
  • Conduct special education needs appeals and to provide advice to a wide range of stakeholders

The Person

  • A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with at least 3 years of PQE within Education Law
  • Ideally have previous experience of working within a Local Authority or Public Body
  • Have an excellent working knowledge in key education legislation
